INSURANCE
Alpharetta agents/employees will be held harmless from any loss, costs, damages and other expenses, including reasonable attorney fees suffered or incurred as a result of vendor’s or agent’s negligence or willful conduct.  Each vendor must carry his/her/its own product liability insurance and must be prepared to present it at the Alpharetta Farmers Market at time of application.  Each vehicle used by a vendor must be covered by vehicle liability insurance. Proof of said vehicle insurance should accompany the application.

MARKET LOCATION
The Alpharetta Farmers Market shall be located in the designated area only of Downtown Alpharetta, Georgia.

MARKET SCHEDULE
The market shall be in operation every Saturday morning, April 26, 2008 through October 25, 2008 from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM.  Set up may begin no earlier than 7:30 AM.  The market will be in operation rain or shine.  All vendors are required to stay at each event from beginning to end, irrespective of whether a vendor experiences an early sell-out. Promptness is imperative as it is dangerous to customers in the market to pull a car through the designated area of the market.

PRESENCE
The strength of the Farmers Market is the presence of a number of vendors with diversity of products.  DATA Board and Market Coordinators shall have the authority to determine all aspects of products sold at the market and vendors activity at the Alpharetta Farmers Market.  Any vendor not adhering to these rules and regulations and requirements will not be allowed to participate.  These rules and regulations may be revised at any time.

SPACE ASSIGNMENT
The 2008 market will have assigned spaces for permanent vendors.  One space will be defined as a parking space or designated space.  If a vendor occupies 2 spaces they will be charged 2X$10 = $20. Vendors are responsible for setting up their own space and keeping it clean. Trash must be taken away with the vendor; the dumpsters on the lot are private, not public. Vendors shall bring their own broom and trash bags.

Canopies and umbrellas are allowed and tables are suggested.  Nothing shall extend into the space of another vendor unless agreed to by both vendors. Any extra cars, trucks or trailers must be parked across the street behind the market in the Ray City Parking Lot. All vendors must be clear of the market area by 1:45 PM.

PRICING, WEIGHTS AND MEASURES
Each vendor shall be responsible for setting his/her/their own prices and all taxes levied upon the sale of any goods.  Weights and measures shall be in accordance with all applicable local, state and federal requirements.  All scales shall be approved by the Georgia Department of Agriculture and have current inspection stickers.  All vendors shall label all products in accordance with all applicable local, state and federal requirements.

MISCELLANEOUS
All vendor fees are non-refundable.  The 2008 and years going forward shall be deemed as a NON-SMOKING market for vendors and customers. Alcohol consumption is prohibited in the market.  All vending equipment must remain on brick, concrete or asphalt areas.
